The Dust Muzzle Convertible 5 is a universal Dust Muzzle that can be used for flat grinding in the field as well as for zero tolerance grinding close to walls and baseboards. It can be used with diamond cup wheels as well as silica carbide wheels to remove toxic dusts from the workplace.

The Dust Muzzle Convertible 5 can be used for flat grinding in the field as well as for zero tolerance grinding close to walls and baseboards. It can be used with diamond cup wheels as well as silica carbide wheels to remove toxic dusts from the workplace.
How the Dust Muzzle Convertible 5 works
The Dust Muzzle Convertible 5 has a patented, adjustable set of steel adapters that allow it to be attached to virtually 4″-5″ pneumatic or electric angle grinder with a bearing housing diameters between 1 5/8″ and 2″ in diameter. For grinders with bearing housings less than 1 5/8″, use the Original Dust Muzzle model 515.
Vertical adjustment of the grinding wheel is achieved through a set of springs in the steel adapters as well as a set of spacer washers that can be used to move the grinding wheel vertically on the arbor of the grinder. A set of brushes assures a secure interface with the work.
A section of the skirt of the Dust Muzzle Convertible 5 can be removed and stored on the side of the shroud so the operator can expose the grinding wheel for zero tolerance grinding close to a wall or bulkhead.
*Note: The Dust Muzzle Convertible 5 uses the Dust Muzzle Step-Down Hose to connect it to the standard 1.5″ industrial vacuum hoses.

Applications
The Dust Muzzle Convertible 5 is excellent for grinding fiberglass, concrete, wood, toxic paints, asbestos and epoxies. It can be used with sandpaper, diamond cup wheels, polishing pads, silica carbide discs and fiber backed discs.
