Disconnect your sander from it’s power source.
1. Trim the COLLAR (1) so that the SKIRT (2) of the Dust Muzzle extends 1/16 to 1/8 inch beyond the surface of the ABRASIVE DISK (3).
The easiest way to trim the collar is by making a continuous 1/8” spiral cut, counter clockwise with an ordinary scissors until you reach the desired COLLAR (1)_length. If you trim more than 1/8” you may cause a stress crack. The COLLAR (1) may also be trimmed using 60 grit sandpaper on a stationary or belt sander, a Dremel™ tool, a hot knife or a fine (32 tooth) metal cutting hacksaw blade. Do not use a shears or a box knife to trim the collar.
2. Attach the Dust Muzzle to your grinder with the HOSE CLAMP (4), provided.
3. Attach the VACUUM HOSE (5) to the Dust Muzzle and secure the hose to the grinder near the handle with the RELEASEABLE CABLE TIE (6), provided.
